The Detroit Tigers have made off-season moves to show they are no longer rebuilding. Their biggest move came when they signed Javy Baez’s six-year, $140 million shortstop. Not only did he win his first game for the Tigers, but he has now made his first home run.
While facing the Boston Red Sox on Monday night, Baez sent Ryan Brazier a lofty ball deep into the left field stands at Comerica Park on his first home run dressed as a Tigers. Not only that, but he helped break the 1-1 tie to give Detroit a 3-1 lead.
