Marshawn Lynch is now the owner of the NHL team.
Marshawn Lynch and rapper Macklemore became part of the owners of the Seattle Kraken in the NHL.
Lynch, who played seven seasons with the Seahawks and won the Super Bowl with them, Grammy-winning McLemore showed an interest in Kraken last summer, according to CNBC. The deal passed this month.
In a statement issued by Lynch to CNBCHe was pleased to be part of the organization.
“This is something I would have never imagined,” Lynch said in a statement. “I’ve always dreamed of playing in a professional team but owning a team is something special. When I look back at some of my accomplishments – I retired before I turned 30 and now owns a professional club at the age of 35 – I will continue to count my blessings.”

to me NHL.comLynch will not be a silent partner but will actively participate in the organization. Lynch will be part of the Seattle campaign, “Hockey for All” and work on events focused on youth and the community.
Lynch is known for his community service. at In 2016 he founded the Fam1st Family Foundation. An organization geared towards giving back to the community.
Lynch also expressed interest in monitoring Kraken CEO Todd Lewicki in a CNBC report.
“He’s fascinated by the idea of what it’s like to be an owner and the business side and finance,” said Leiweke.
Lynch and McMallmore will attend the Krakens vs. Senators game in Ottawa on Monday night to celebrate, per NHL.com
