Joel Embiid gave the referees a round of applause after the Philadelphia 76ers lost Game 4 to the Toronto Raptors.
After hitting the winning Triple Pointer in overtime in Game 3, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid approaches rap star and Toronto Raptors ambassador, Drake, and tells him he’s “coming for the sweep.” The Raptors had a chance to keep their NBA championship hopes alive with a win at Game 4 on Saturday, April 23.
The Raptors defeated the 76ers 110-102 to send the series back to Philadelphia for Game 5. As he left the field, Embiid approached the officials and gave them a scornful applause for their efforts in Game 4.

Embiid commented on his applause for playing golf during the post-match press conference, and his response was as sarcastic as the applause itself. The quote comes from Logan River from ABC27 News.
In addition, Embiid spoke about his injured right thumb, stating that he will continue to play through it and will have surgery after the playoffs if that is what the MRI reveals.
Embiid played 39 minutes on Saturday, scoring 21 points while shooting 7 for 16 from the field. Embiid also scored eight rebounds and three assists, but made five high turnovers for the team.
The loss isn’t exactly the end of the world for the 76ers, as they still lead 3-1 in a series over the Raptors. Game 5 takes place at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Monday, April 25.
