Texas football fans react to Queen Ewers’ debut at Spring Longhorns

Quinn Ewers’ strong arm gets Texan football fans excited after Saturday’s spring game.

On his Texas football debut, quarterback Quinn Ewers showed the right-arm howitzer for all the Longhorn Nation to see.

The native Texan briefly spent a semester in the big hiking country with the Ohio State Bucks. After a pinecone ride and a couple of deliveries here and there, the former five-star recruit returns to The Lone Star State hoping to do something the Longhorns haven’t been able to achieve since Colt McCoy became a professional: bring back Texas. After the spring game show, maybe Ewers can?

Texas football fans are thrilled with Queen Ewers’ impressive arm strength

It might just have been a spring game to rebuild the Big 12 team, but there’s no doubt about it, the talent is there for Ayers. Even if he is about to complete his first semester on campus, Ewers is expected to pay the Hudson Card to start the job. Although Card’s job may end up out of the gate, Ewers will be hammering his heels throughout the fall camp period and into the 2022 college football season.

Thanks to coach Steve Sarkissian’s innovative playing style, Texans have the opportunity to double their winning total from the previous season. Yes, Texas only had one four games a year ago, including an embarrassing loss to Kansas. However, winning more than nine games or so would go a long way toward eliminating the narrative that Texas football will never return. They may be back here soon.

In the end, the Sarkissian era in Austin will be determined by whether Evers lives up to the hype. His talent will get him playing on the field, but will he have what it takes to rip the core job away from Card or potentially prevent the third-generation quarterback from America’s favorite football family from making a commitment to Texas? It’s still pretty early, but one thing is for sure: Ewers has an absolute hose!

Expect Texas fans to continue drooling over the prospects of Ewers becoming their saviour.
