Odell Beckham Jr. Dave Gettleman shoots, and he’s right

Odell Beckham Jr. takes a shot of former New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t think former New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman was the least good at his job.

Gettleman may have built the Carolina Panthers well back in the day, but his time at the Big Apple was nothing short of disastrous. From returning to second overall in the modern NFL era, to getting Daniel Jones in sixth to replace Eli Manning as he played his college ball for Manning’s famous Whiskey player David Catcliffe at Duke was embarrassing. This was a bad time.

While Beckham is living his best life as a Super Bowl champion, he has every confidence in the world to say that Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com and Clem of Barstool Sports did a better job managing a Twitter thread about NFL Draft and Giants picking Kayvon Thibodeaux in fifth overall than he did Gettleman at any time by operating the once proud Giants franchise.

Odell Beckham Jr. is trolling Dave Gittleman for being a bad general manager

While it would be very constructive for all parties involved to look into the bright future that awaits them, Gettleman Giants was an absolute tire fire it might well deserve. 30 for 30 one day. No one outside the Tri-State will ever see it, but it better sums up exactly what went wrong for one of football’s most stable organizations.

But what started this whole conversation was Stapleton’s utter conviction that Beckham would return to the Giants at some point in his career, to take away some of Tibodo’s shine. The hope is that the former Oregon star will have some variation on Lawrence Taylor, Michael Strahan, or even Justin Tack in the trenches. Jason Pierre Paul with all ten fingers, if you will.

New York then followed up on Thibodeau’s pick twice later by tackling Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal for seventh. For now, they were expected to be the pillars of the reconstituted Giants Organization. While Beckham was an unrivaled star, the Giants were at their best when they dominated the trenches.

Now that Gettleman is out of the building, there is a chance that Beckham will return to New York.
