Mikol Hardman, wide receiver from the Kansas City Chiefs, is expected to remain in Kansas City and negotiate a new contract with the team in 2023.
If a broad NFL recipient wants to negotiate a perfect contract, there are several ways to do so.
The wide range may push for the largest contract possible, which could turn the organization upside down and push the recipient to leave his team. This is, after all, what happened to the former Tire Hill gun of the Kansas City Chiefs, which pushed a lucrative business to the Miami Dolphins.
Of course, for receivers that fly a bit under the radar, waiting to negotiate a new contract may be more beneficial. According to general manager Brett Fitch, Mikol Hardman may want to wait until next year to push for a bigger salary.

With the salary cap raised next year and another year to boost his resume, Hardman may want to spend 2022 proving his worth with Hill’s departure.
“I think it’s probably going to lean in the direction that agents and players want to wait, and if there’s been any indication last year of where this thing is going, at some point it will be a flat outline and things will become more balanced in terms of getting things done early on,” he continued. Fitch. “We’ll definitely have that kind of conversation, but I think if this off season he tilts his hand, it’s more in the lines of the agent and the player just saying, ‘Okay, you might as well wait.’ A lot of players have benefited from waiting and I think until those flat lines settle down, I think there will be more desire for agents to probably wait and play.”
Deciding whether or not to wait depends on a widespread condition and what they’ve been able to put down so far. As it stands, Hardman was important to the Chiefs, but he wasn’t an integral part of the way Hill was on the offensive. However, Hardman saw career highs of 59 catches and 693 yards in 2021, so Hill’s absence could prove beneficial for Hardman.
