The Minnesota Vikings have not one, but two primetime games, and perhaps more to come.
No team in the NFL knows more about their regular season roster heading into Thursday’s launch schedule than the Minnesota Vikings do.
Minnesota will travel to Brotherly Love to face the Philadelphia Eagles as part of Monday Night Football A double whammy to help propel us through what should be a great week 1. In a few weeks, the Vikings will venture across the pond to play the New Orleans Saints as one of the three London games to be rolled out this season. This match will take place on Sunday 2 October.
With two core/independent games already as part of their schedule, are the Vikings getting another game?
Minnesota Vikings: Primetime TV Predictions, 2022
Looking at their opponents in the 2022 seasonMinnesota will play the all-AFC East, the all-NFC East and the three competitive balance games as well as a six-game slate of home and home games with its NFC North rivals. The Vikings’ three competitive balance games are against the Saints in London, home versus the Arizona Cardinals, and home versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Although the Vikings have a proud fan base, three matches in prime time will be a good fit for them this season. So, if they want to pick a third contender, welcoming the Green Bay Packers to the US Bank Stadium will make you feel at prime time something your TV audience would want to see on a Sunday or Monday evening. Four primetime games for the Vikings this year is a bit big.
If the Vikings get a fourth game, why not bring the Cardinals to Minneapolis on Thursday?
Minnesota Vikings Primetime TV Game Predictions: 3, (in Eagles, vs. Packers, in Saints).
