The Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid was marred by violence and chaos outside the Stade de France in the outskirts of Paris after police seized a videotape of displacing English fans.
UEFA initially issued a statement that the match needed to be postponed due to the late arrival of Liverpool fans. That soon fell apart once photos from outside the Stade de France spread on social media.

The chaotic scenes outside the stadium were captured by a number of football writers who were already inside the match venue.
The European Football Association (UEFA) postponed the start of the match after saying that the fans arrived late for the match.
But videos that emerged shortly after blamed organizers and police outside the stadium.
The police response came after some Liverpool fans, fearing they would not enter the stadium on time, decided to climb the gates to enter. It is not known how many of those who climbed the ramparts were without tickets.
Back in 1989, before the FA Cup semi-final match against Nottingham Forest, 96 Liverpool fans were killed when security failed to properly control the fans entering Hillsborough Stadium.
It is almost impossible to see the horrific images outside the Stade de France, the incompetence of UEFA and security on the scene, and not to think about the tragedy that Liverpool have suffered for more than three decades.
