Atlanta Braves Call a Potential: Who is Michael Harris II?

The Braves organization is proud to have formulated and developed many outstanding local high schools. Youth baseball is a huge deal in the metro Atlanta area, so it’s no surprise how successful the Braves have historically explored the area. While Harris had the opportunity to play college ball at Texas Tech, he signed with his hometown team as a third-round pick in the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft.

Harris is only 21 years old and was estimated to have reached the senior league level of 2023. Some might argue that he has passed former prospective Drew Waters in line. Waters is two years older than Harris and plays right on the road at Triple-A Gwinnett. Harris has been playing a few states in the Double-AA Mississippi. Atlanta call Harris certainly sent shock waves.

Harris is not only the #1 potential player in the Braves organization, but he ranks 59th in all of baseball. Despite being the only player to stand a chance of the Braves ranked in the top 100, Atlanta swapped out some key pieces for the Oakland Athletics in a Matt Olson deal. In addition, this team is the world champion. Harris could join the squad on Saturday to make his Braves debut.

Seek out Harris to assist primarily in outer defense in the early part of the junior season.
