Existential MLB Deals, Dumbest Story of the Season (So Far)

The MLB team from FanSided is here with another edition of The Moonshot, our weekly newsletter that collects all the fun of baseball.

Well, we believe exit speeds, bat flips, launch angles, house steals, curveball hanging, Big League Chew, sausage races, and that unwritten rules of any kind are subjective folly, and an overstatement. We think Greg Maddox was a true magician. We believe that there should be a constitutional amendment protecting minor league baseball and that framing the stadium is an art and a science. We believe in beautiful location, making WARP not a war, keeping you chasing closely, we believe love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is good too.

Welcome to The Moonshot.

Jock Pederson, Tommy Pham, and the dumbest thing in baseball season (so far)

Look, this is probably the stupidest thing that has happened this past week, or maybe even the stupidest thing that has happened this season.

This is actually a good thing.

On Friday, before most fans arrived at the game, while most of the media was out, out of the way, leading only to miniature, grainy reports of the event, I heard the slap “about the world of baseball happen at the Great. American Football Stadium in Cincinnati.”

Tommy Pham of the Reds kicked Giants Jock Pederson upside down and began clearing seats in left field via a text message from the FFL that occurred months earlier.
He told you he was stupid.

Drew Koch wrote on the Blog Red Machine that Fam He doesn’t deserve his actionsBecause this isn’t the first time he’s been involved in something stupid.

But let’s take a moment to enjoy this whole stupid moment that has gone beyond our social media timelines and then kept coming back again. More details came.

Last week was tough. The past few months have been tough. The past two years have been difficult.

No matter how seriously we like to exercise, they are there to entertain and distract us a bit. So, honestly, it was nice to have a little comic version on the timeline for a change, no matter how stupid it was.

Baseball, but for your ears

5 wild MLB trades fans should consider

With the 2022 trading deadline fast approaching (can you believe it?!), FanSided has cooked up some exciting dummy deals, bringing fan bases ontological tweaks they might not even realize they need!

Pirate fans trade ‘exhausted rage’ for ’empty stare into the distance’

For years, Pirates fans have been angry with the property for burying young stars, refusing to reinvest in the team, and choosing not to participate in the winable NL Central. This deadline exchange will bring them a renewed sense of calm and gaze for 10 miles across the water at one of the area’s beautiful bridges.

Red Sox fans trade ‘a lifetime of dread’ for ‘realizing they’re the bully now’

Boston Red Sox fans have carried with them a sense of awe their whole lives, baked within them with stories of decades of disappointment and very short stories. Most of the living Red Sox fans have experienced nothing but success! Which is so much fun! The Boston team made their way out of a huge hole thanks to Trevor Storey, whose peripherals were all horrible, suddenly flipped a dime and won Player of the Week with no prior evidence of it. This trade allows Red Sox fans to know that it always happens, forever!

Mets fans exchange ‘waiting for the other shoe’ for ‘the other shoe’

After getting the other shoe, Mets fans will be able to keep/store them in a closet instead of dropping them at an inopportune time. With relentless attacking, a mediocre split, and Jacob Degrom and Max Scherzer still improving, there’s simply no need for this other shoe to show up.

Dodgers fans trade the “overwhelming allure of a heavyweight favorite that a recent World Series won at the end of the 60-game season” for “Pirates Closer David Bednar”

Fans of the elusive can use a little humility; It should have been a disappointment and not a badge of honor for winning so many regular season games and palaces often. Bednar will help lock in the bull’s back end.

Yankees Fans Trade ‘Defending Josh Donaldson’ for ‘Not Doing That’

Do not do it!

1 All-Star Unknown Potential From Every MLB Team – With the All-Star vote fast approaching, Noah Yingling of Call to the Pen took a deep dive looking for only the obvious names in his search for potential All-Stars.

What is the common denominator of the failure of the Philadelphia Phillies? Pittsburgh Pirates 7 games under 0.500. Philadelphia Phillies…as well. This is a problem, because Phillies have Fourth highest salary in MLB at $233 million. It is said that Joe Giradi is not worried about his job. But does it have to be?
