MLB Insider John Hyman revealed in his podcast the prospects of trading the Washington Nationals for Juan Soto.
The Washington National team is once again floating near the bottom of the NL East standings. With that said, they will be a monitoring team that may sell well on the trading deadline. One of the names that has been floated is superstar Juan Soto, who is set to arrive at unrestricted free agency after the 2024 season. Not only that but the Citizens are expected to sell to new ownership in the near future.
During an episode of the podcast “The Show” With New York Post’s Joel Sherman, MLB insider John Hyman revealed that he’s heard that there are many Nationals bidders and that they all said they wanted Soto on the team.

An MLB insider says Juan Soto will not be traded
This is certainly welcome news for Nationals fans, but Heyman says it prevents anything weird from happening.
As previously mentioned, the Nationals still have two more seasons before Soto hits free agency. Soto is widely expected to be the first player to receive a $500 million contract in American professional team sports. Now, it remains to be seen if the two sides can agree on the terms of a new deal in the near future before his existing deal runs out.
Through 50 games this season, Soto has cut 0.236/.382/.449 while scoring nine home runs, 16 RBI, scoring 29 points and 42 hits. Soto also leads the league in the 41st career.
So, Nationals fans, you can breathe a sigh of relief for now, as the team that trades Soto doesn’t look imminent.
