The Atlanta Braves arena is in shambles and the front office should already have these five under-the-radar candidates in mind.

In the early absence of Ronald Acuna Jr., no one intervened. The team is arguably the worst performing field in baseball. Given this, it becomes clear exactly what they should be targeting in this year’s trade deadline.
The market for offshore players is not a particularly strong market at the moment with no one quite standing out. Many of the weaker teams have outside players that they either want to hold on to or have had such bad seasons, so it’s not even an upgrade for Atlanta. Sticking strictly to looking for some outside upgrades, these are five under-the-radar business targets for the Braves to start exploring.
1) Brave trade target Andrew Benintende is the least off-the-radar player
Andrew Benintendi might be the only player in the Kansas City Royals that they can trade at such a great value. In the final year of his contract before reaching free agency, he is the type of youngster who would benefit greatly from a strong finish to the 2022 season.
So far, Benintende has been the hottest member of the royal family this year. It appears that the royal family’s decision to acquire him before last year was somewhat of a lost move as they have done so little to tidy up since he joined them.
This summer, we should all expect him to shop hard. Brave will be very suitable for him. Benintende has never been exceptional in a single attacking category throughout his career. Instead, he relies on hitting to get a good average, making it to base safely regularly, and on occasion coming home.
Also capable of playing all three outside positions – but best suited in the corner – he’s someone who the brave can move around their court as they see fit. It may not fly under the radar as low as some of the other commercial candidates on this list. If he keeps hitting like he did early on for Kansas City, Atlanta may have a much harder time paying for that rent.
