Frustrated by his recent democratization to the palace, Miguel Andujar requested a trade from the New York Yankees.
Third baseman-turned-midfielder Miguel Andujar, who was once a potential breakout for the New York Yankees, has formally requested a deal from the team out of frustration with the lack of playing time.
Hector Gomez reported the news, citing unnamed sources, that Andujar had informed Yankees manager Aaron Boone of the request. This report comes on the heels of news on June 3 that Andujar will be named again for AAA Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders to make way for Giancarlo Stanton, who came from IL.
It is said that this is not the first time that Andujar has asked to be traded from the Yankees, but the team has chosen to stick with it, the athleteKen Rosenthal.
It’s also not the first time Andujar has been picked this season. After starting the season at Scranton Wilkes Barry, Andujar was briefly called up with the major league club at the end of April, when Aaron Hicks was on the paternity list.

Andujar was brought back to the Yankees on May 23 when Josh Donaldson landed on IL.
In the 12 games that Andujar has played in MLB this season, he has had a batting average of 268, with 0.279 on a percentage basis and 0.317 on a batting percentage.
In addition to Andujar’s demotion, the Yankees announced that fellow defender Tim Locastro has also been named to Scranton-Wilkes Barre, returning from a rehab assignment and officially placed from IL for 10 days.
The stadium has been a source of frustration for Yankees fans this season. While Aaron Judge was killing him, Joey Gallo and Aaron Hicks received fair criticism for their poor overall performance, with plenty of calls for the team to be in the DFA for either or both.
After his MLB debut in 2017, Andujar was a full-time member of the 2018 Yankees Team. That season, Andujar won 0.297, 0.527 slowdowns, 27 home races, and 92 RBI. He controversially ranked second in the Player of the Year vote for that season behind Shohei Ohtani.
A combination of injuries and poor performances have prevented him from achieving much success over the past few seasons.
