3 Champion NBA Warriors Who Will Not Return Next Season

Kelly L Cox USA Today Sports

The warriors rebuilt the tournament list while preparing the future table at the same time. But some players may not be around all the time.

The Warriors walked an incredibly thin line this season, getting healthy and taking their core with enough supplemental talent to win their fourth episode. And doing so will add incredibly talented young players James WisemanJonathan Kominga, Moses Moody and the development of future stars such as Jordan Paul.

The Warriors tournament window is wide open but some of the players on this year’s title team might not be around all the time. Here are some of the players who may not get a chance to help the team defend their title next season.

3. Damion Lee may be looking for more than warriors can offer

This deal is far from a done deal, but Lee is an unrestricted free agent this off season and could have the opportunity to go somewhere he can play a little more. Lee appeared in 63 games last season for the Warriors, but was basically out of the playoffs cycle, and it’s possible that Jonathan Kominga and Moses Moody will get extra minutes next season, and his role could be reduced even further.

Lee is married to Sydel Curry and sister to Steve and Seth, which could make the Warriors’ separation difficult. But he’s 29, now has a ring, and he might welcome the opportunity to raise his salary and play a bigger role elsewhere.
