The worst thing the NBA has ever done is give Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green another chance to crush everyone who hates him. No one will be missed.
Since Thursday night, Green has spent nearly all of his time in front of the microphone or on Twitter, finding everyone Who doubted over the years. The short gap between the Golden State titles gave Dubs a chance to collect plenty of billboard material in their quest for a fourth NBA Championship during the Splash Brothers era.
Not only was Green targeting Boston fans, as well as the Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant – he has now directed his target at the Celtics’ coaching staff and players. Really, it was only a matter of time.
Warriors: Draymond Green Can’t Stop And Won’t Stop Tweeting
Green is a legend on hardwood and on his phone. Twitter fingers never stop, even when Dubs is in trouble. Now it’s time to celebrate, and win the finals in the face of all who doubt it.
Oh sweet lord.
Game 7 won’t happen, of course, thanks to the Warriors winning the series at Game 6 at the Boston home.
Although Golden State raced in the third quarter, he had a fairly comfortable fourth tire and was able to celebrate in the final minutes. Heck, Steve Curry hugged his father with five seconds remaining on the clock (as he had every right to do).
Soak it up, warriors lovers. This is your age. All I can do is watch.
