Jesse Rodriguez hits Srisaket-sur-Rongvesai in a TKO (video)

Jesse Rodriguez stepped up his game to embarrass former super flyweight champion Srisaket Sur Rongviassi via the 8th round TKO in a star-making performance.

Jesse Rodriguez, better known as “Pam,” continued his attack on the old guard in the super flyweight boxing class to defeat former champion Srisaket-sur-Rongvesai via the 8-round TKO.

Rodriguez (16-0, 11 KOs) is the youngest boxing champion at 22 years old, and he put his name on everyone’s lips with the defeat to the former Great Wall of Rongsai.

Things couldn’t have gone any better for Rodriguez. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Rodriguez fought Rongvisai at Tech Port Arena on Saturday, June 25. Perhaps the local audience cheered the young man, or maybe he just matured into one of the best boxers in the world, but Rodriguez sur Rongvesai flatly destroyed.

Sor Rungvisai (50-6-1) entered the fight with two periods as WBC Super Flyweight Champion. Since losing to Juan Francisco Estrada in 2019, Sur Rungesai has racked up three wins before facing Rodriguez.

Rodriguez defeated Carlos Quadras by unanimous decision in February, but proved he had evolved into a stronger fighter four months later with his demolition of Sur Rungesai.

Jesse Rodriguez easily broke apart former super flyweight champion Srisaket-sur-Rongvesai to stay undefeated

Sur Rongsai has never been in combat. The 35-year-old Thai looked sluggish in comparison to Rodriguez. Rodriguez’s hand moved so quickly that Sur Rongsai couldn’t grasp it.

The speed of Rodriguez’s hand and feet was on another level, and Sur Rungesai was unable to tell the timing of young Rodriguez. Little by little, Rodriguez moved farther into the chin of Sur Rungesai until the former champion ran into a serious problem.

In the seventh round, Rodriguez lowered Sur Rongvesai with his left hand into the temple. Sur Rongsai got up and managed to pass the round, but his chin was never the same.

Rodriguez finished the show in the eighth round. Sur Rongvesai had been crushed by countless unanswered combos. The referee had no choice but to stop the fight, giving Rodriguez a TKO victory.

This was a great performance for Rodriguez. Nobody ever questioned his talent, but he was so good that he seemed like a great player despite his youth.

Rodriguez tops the super flyweight rating. There are three other heroes, but none of them seem to be able to beat Rodriguez’s version of Sur-Rongvesai.
