At UFC 276, “Eagle” Khabib Nurmagomedov will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in celebration of his historic career.
The UFC lightweight division is arguably one of the most popular divisions in MMA, with names like Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler filling their ranks. However, none of these stars has had as much influence or an impressive career as Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The UFC first announced during UFC Vegas 57 prelims that they would celebrate Nurmagomedov’s impressive career at UFC 276 when they inducted him into the UFC 2022 Hall of Fame.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has remained undefeated throughout his career, despite battling top talents like Jethje, Poirier and McGregor.
Nurmagomedov finished his career 29-0, retired as UFC lightweight champion and left on top. The last three fights of his career were particularly exceptional, featuring McGregor, then Pourier, and then Gaethje. In his 29 victories, he has won 19 times and won every round he participated in.
Since his retirement, Nurmagomedov has continued to contribute to mixed martial arts, both as a coach and as an entrepreneur. Several of the UFC’s fastest-rising prospects had a chance to have Nurmagomedov in their corner, including Islam Makhachev and Omar Nurmagomedov. Outside of the UFC, Nurmagomedov started his own MMA promotion at Eagle FC.
