A few NFL Nation reporters covering teams with the rookie quarterback (Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans) have broken down the prospect of every first-year pro winning a starting job out of camp, and opportunities to ride pines all season long and when they might come Their first professional start. None of them are expected to play much early, but the Steelers could be in trouble.

Pittsburgh Steelers Mitch Trubisky likely to start on Kenny Pickett Week 1
Pryor believes Beckett has a 2% chance of winning the job from fall camp. While it’s not much worse than the five percent won by the Hawks, Panthers and Titans for writers Desmond Reader, Matt Corral, and Malik Willis respectively, it’s still the worst in this quartet. Pryor Beckett gives him a 40 percent chance of sitting all year long, and feels his first start could come at week 18.
Only Willis has a worse chance of sitting all year long than Beckett at 75 percent. He supports Ryan Tanehill in the AFC list that had the No. 1 seed a season ago. In addition, Willis played for Liberty, while Coral and Beckett played for Power Five and Raider quarterback from the Cincinnati Bears to College Football of the Group outside the group of five. Willis’ learning curve is quite steep.

The Steelers have great defense and need little more than a game manager.
However, we have to start hearing tales from the coaching field about Beckett. This is because Corral and Ridder will play so well this year because their teams are bad. Even Willis might get some running as Tanehill missed matches due to injury. In the end, the longer Beckett kept a portfolio, the worse the Steelers made investment in the quarterback.
If the Steelers draft Beckett to play with him on the spot, that’s a big deal for Pittsburgh.
