A protester boycotted Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition 2022 and was promptly put to the chokehold by Joey Chestnut.
Joey Chestnut has dominated Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition, winning 14 titles in the past 15 years. On his way to his 15th Mustard Championship belt, he had to overcome an injury and a cut by a protester.
In Part One of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating 2022, Chestnut was pushed away by an individual wearing a Darth Vader mask and holding a banner. Chestnut did not hesitate, as he put this person in a choke and tossed him backwards.

After dealing with clips, Chestnut went on to claim a 2022 win in Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition. He ate a chestnut of 63 hot dogs to clinch the mustard title for the 15th time in his career, now the most championships won in a single event. He now beats Rafael Nadal at the 14th French Open.
Chestnut achieved this latest feat while dealing with a ruptured tendon in his leg, which is why he was spotted with crutches heading into the action.
Jeffrey Esper finished second behind the chestnuts, eating 47.5 sausages.
The Chestnuts have not lost in the event since 2015, being bested by Matt Stoney 62-60.
There was nothing stopping Chestnut from winning the 15th Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition. Not a ruptured tendon. Not a pretender. nothing.
