With news of the citizens of Washington ready to put Juan Soto on the commercial market, a number of potential suitors immediately appeared.
One such potential club is the St. Louis Cardinals, who have a deep potential to trade for Soto and funds to lock him up in a post-trade extension as well. Soto’s relegation and being put on a list that includes Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and emerging stars like Tommy Edman and Dylan Carlson is unfair.

3. Catcher Evan Herrera
22 years Evan Herrera, a potential No. 3 in the Cardinals system, is likely to be a piece that citizens seek in a potential Soto trade.
