After learning they may be without Michael King for the rest of the year, the New York Yankees must be in the market for an emergency trade to replace him.

Michael King has been a huge and unexpected weapon from the New York Yankees this season. Unfortunately, it is likely Off for the rest of the season with an elbow injury.

King had gone 6-3 with the Yankees by 2.29 ERA. He accomplished this in 34 games including 51 innings and 66 strokes. He was someone they depended very much on. Now, they will need to research to fill the void in the trade deadline.

The timing is working fine as the team now has time to call and make an emergency swap deal. Who can they find to help replace what the King was giving them?

1) Yankees bull trading emergency: Michael Vollmer

Michael Vollmer wouldn’t come up with a deal with the Yankees from the Detroit Tigers, but maybe they could at least save on the Treasury name card by making an emergency deal for a different Michael. Vollmer, a member of the Detroit Tigers, has successfully transitioned from an apprentice role to a loyal role in Motor City. This year he is 2-4 with a 2.31 ERA in 35 rounds of action.

Vollmer is hardly the same type of diluent that King was. Vollmer scored 35 runs in 36 games. Despite his history in the beginning, he is a man with one role for every appearance.

However, the Yankees should look forward to adding the highly available Vollmer. A free agent at the end of this season, it makes sense in the world for the Tigers to take on him.

Yankees Bullpen has been one of the best parts of the 2022 season. Vollmer can help keep the theme going and at a reasonable cost.
