The St. Louis Cardinals are said to be among the top candidates to land Washington native Juan Soto, but they will have to part ways with Nolan Gorman.
Gorman is just the beginning, but he was also the highest rated card holder for a reason. You should start discussions with him.

“Do I expect the Cardinals to be in Soto? Yes. I wasn’t convinced they would be serious players, but my thinking has changed in the last 48 hours. They have the farm system to get such a deal done – Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman, Matthew Liberator, Mason Wayne, among others. Others—and a front office that wasn’t afraid to make big strides in the past, as evidenced by Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt’s deals.”

Soto is a guaranteed commodity, while prospects are just possibilities. At just 23 years old, Soto was announced as the next Ted Williams. Even with one of the best young stadiums in baseball, Soto would undoubtedly be a promotion for the Cardinals.
It was considered that for almost any team outside the Bronx.
To get Soto, St. Louis would have to trade in the likes of Gorman and many, many other companies.
With Jordan Walker seated directly behind him in the palace, in theory the Cardinals could afford to trade Gorman and still have a backup plan. This, of course, if the citizens did not demand Walker in the Soto trade as well.
