Trade talks begin with Juan Soto with a big and promising member

It is said that the St. Louis Cardinals will have to include one of the top young league players in Juan Soto’s deal.

The MLB trade deadline is less than a week away, with the biggest name hanging in the talks being Washington Nationals player Juan Soto. There was a list of names who contacted citizens regarding Soto, one of whom was the St. Louis Cardinals. But what should they give up?

According to Jeff Jones of Belleville News-Democratboth teams had trade talks involving second Cardinals Nolan Gorman and “a response from the citizens that includes starting bowler Patrick Corbin” as a way to get rid of the salary.

Regarding Corbin’s inclusion in the Soto deal, Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo appeared on “The Sports Junkies” show on 106.7 The Fan in Washington, DC on July 27 and said they do not plan to include a major contract in a potential deal for their star player.

Gorman has long been seen as one of the Cardinals’ best prospects, ranking first in the team’s pipeline in the 2021 season. Last May, Gorman received his majors’ call-up after the team switched Tommy Edmann to Shortstop after Paul Dejong was demoted.

This season, Gorman has cut .223/.299/.411 while scoring nine home runs, 22 RBI, 26 points, and 39 hits.

John Heyman and Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported last weekend that rival CEOs believe the Cardinal are the favorites to land Soto. That, and the two wrote in their article that the citizens love the young cardinal players and their prospects.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Nationals were looking for four to five young players in exchange for Sotos. This number of players is a mixture of potential players and key players with low serving time.

The deadline for trade will be August 2, and fans will be eagerly waiting to see if Washington moves on from Soto.
