The MLB trade deadline is set for August 2, yet just days away, fans are getting a better idea of who will be transferred or who will stay. Two big names were already on their way, as quarterback Andrew Benintende heads to the New York Yankees and bowler Luis Castillo starts heading for the Seattle Mariners. When it comes to Pittsburgh Pirates player Brian Reynolds, he probably isn’t going anywhere.
John Heyman of the New York Post tweeted That rival CEOs who contacted hackers about Reynolds believe he is not being traded.

Not trading the Buccaneers with Reynolds makes sense, considering he’s one of the best hitters on the team. Through 86 games, Reynolds cut 0.251/.331/.448 while scoring 15 home runs, 32 RBI, 40 points, and 79 hits.
Reynolds in the first season of his two-year $13.5 million contract with the Pirates. However, he still has two more years of refereeing left, and he won’t become an unrestricted free agent until after the 2025 season.
As of July 31 after their 8-2 loss to the Phillies, the Buccaneers are now 40-62 and sit last in the NL Central Division.
Teams that need an outside player may have to look everywhere except for Pittsburgh, because Pirates Team Reynolds is unlikely to move.
