Salty Dodgers fans had the most anticipated reaction to Juan Soto on the Padres

Los Angeles Dodgers fans weren’t entirely happy to see Juan Soto dressed as the San Diego Padres.

Juan Soto’s sweepstakes were tempting, as it doesn’t often happen when a team trades their 23-year-old star. But that’s the decision Team Washington made after Soto turned down a 15-year, $440 million contract with the team. There were several teams in Soto, including the Los Angeles Dodgers. But, it was the San Diego Padres that won, getting Soto and first baseman Josh Bell in a deal with the Nationals.

In his first game at Dodger Stadium as a member of the Padres on Friday, Dodgers fans were booed. As Kevin Ase of the San Diego Tribune pointed out, Soto had had a blast the week before when he was still with the Nationals.

The Dodgers were among three teams that were in Soto on the day of the trade deadline. The other teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, and obviously the Padres. San Diego won after trading Luke Voight, CJ Abrams, Mackenzie Goure, Robert Hassell III, James Wood and Susanna Garleen to Washington.

As for Friday’s match itself, Soto only scored one hit in three, which was one at the top of the first half. However, it was the Dodgers who had the last laugh, as they defeated the Padres 8-1.

In the 104 games of the season (between both the Nationals and Padres) entered on Saturday night, Soto has cut 249/.410/.490 while scoring 21 home points, 46 RBI, 64 points, and 88 hits.

Juan Soto, welcome to the Dodgers vs. Padres competition.
