New York Mets pitcher Jacob Degrom has been on the alert since his return, making this season an emotional journey for him.
New York Mets player Jacob Degrom has only played two games so far this season, and he’s been a huge hit.
He’s on an emotional ride that surfaced during Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.
“Getting out of there was a bit emotional,” DeGrom told ESPN. “I took a second, tried to absorb everything, and then I tried to focus and try to take care of the business.”
Over 5.2 runs – including a perfect game through five rounds before being allowed to walk and run at home – DeGrom hit 12 and helped take the Mets 5-2 win. His success garnered the attention of his teammates and Braves manager Brian Snitker.

The veteran bowler is quickly making his mark this season. His teammate Brandon Nimo shared that he “feels bad for anyone he encounters [deGrom]. “
“I just feel bad for whoever’s facing him. He’s throwing 101, 102 [mph] There, he locates everything. Hats off to him for health and back to us. “He’s ready and ready to go,” Nemo said in the same ESP article.
Snicker agreed and said, “Oh my God, that’s okay.”
The 34-year-old bowler made it onto the talent list this season, so it’s a huge feat for him to stand out so much in just two matches.
The Mets are one of the best teams in the league. They have the fifth-best ERA (3.60), sixth-best opponent batting average (.233) and fifth-best WHIP (1.18). His talent will likely make the team even better.
