The Atlanta Braves have had a lot of injuries this season. Their moves in the corresponding roster can prevent them from competing in the World Championship.

The Atlanta Braves have struggled with a lot of injuries this season, especially recently. Entering on Tuesday, they have 10 players on the injured list and many of them are key players, such as second baseman Ozzy Albis (foot surgery), substitute Orlando Archia (hamstring), starting bowler Max Fried (concussion), base bowler Mike Soroka ( Achilles), and defensive player Adam Duvall (wrist surgery).

The Braves were, by and large, able to weather the storms, despite having the third best record in the National League. However, getting out of the Wild Card Tour, across the Division Series, and through the Championship Series into the World Championship would be a daunting task if they didn’t make some good moves on the roster going forward.

Here are three moves on the list that keep the Braves from the World Championships competing.

Braves: 3 moves on the list that keep them from the World Championship

1. Vaughn Grissom not kept in the MLB roster when Ozzie Albies is activated

With all their injuries at second base, the Braves had to turn to several players. Currently, they have von Grissom playing second base. The season started at High-A before being upgraded to Double-A. He skipped Triple-A and came straight to the majors when Orlando Arcía went on the injured list.

Ozzie Albies should be back off the hit list sometime soon and Arcía might be back relatively soon as well. But the Braves must still keep Grissom on the MLB roster for the rest of the season.

In his last 37 games before hitting IL, Arcía was scoring 180/.262/.308. Grissom has only played in six games but has two doubles, two home runs, four RBI, and a .429/ .500/.810 slash. If he produces even 60 percent of that, he’ll be a huge asset to them off the bench in the playoffs.
