He inadvertently fired his racket onto the field, giving one lucky fan one of the most iconic souvenirs of all time – and luckily, no injuries occurred.
Guerrero, nicknamed “Vladdy,” usually hits the run at home but has never thrown a bat in a crowd before. In MLB, there’s always a first time for everything.
Although this incident was a scary one, Vlady’s condition has not been disappointing this season.

Guerrero is having his second best season in 2022, slightly behind the 2021 season. It has made .282/.351/.509 for the OPS of .860 so far. In 2021, it comes in at .311/.401/.601 for an OPS of 1,002. He made his MLB debut in 2019 with Toronto and has been a promising player ever since, but has especially thrived over the past two seasons.
Vlady is one of the best hitters on the team. Of all the average beginners, he has the third best hit rate and base percentage. It also has the best deceleration rate.
The Blue Jays are also likely to be a hit in the post-season. According to FanGraphsThey have an 87.7 percent chance of reaching the playoffs and a six percent chance of winning the world championship.
Guerrero is undoubtedly a major factor in their success, and although he had a slight fault with his racket, he rarely disappoints.
