Cubs center player robbed Albert Pujols HR while playing

Designated hitter Franmel Reyes was called up to participate in the Chicago Cubs, and Albert Pujols costed a shot at another home hit.

Albert Pujols is the talk of MLB, and for good reason. He’s been on fire through August, and he’s very close to recording his 700th home run. The St. Louis Cardinals have been watching more than ever because of the Pujols’ hot streak.

During one of the Cardinals’ second doubles matches against the Chicago Cubs, the Pujols climbed into the hitting zone with a chance to hit #694.

The Cardinals were leading 12-3 at that point in the game. Reyes entered the bout, and Pujols was his first hitter face. Reyes’ third court pitch flew away and hit Pujols, forcing him to make first base.

Reyes gave up one inning after Paul Goldschmidt interfered in a double game and allowed Dylan Carlson to score. Then Paul Dejong hit to end the game.

Pujols made history this past week.

On August 20 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the teammates hit No. 691 and 692, and in the process, passed Stan Musical in the second-highest number of bases in MLB history.

Then, on Monday, he hit home number 693 at the Cubs’ expense. It was the Pujols’ seventh home run in 10 games, making him the oldest to achieve the feat, surpassing Ted Williams, who did so at the age of 41 in 1960.

It may not have happened on Tuesday night, but based on how the Boggles has been playing this month, it will only be a significant time before he makes his 694th home.
