The Kansas City Chiefs trimmed their roster to 53 players on Tuesday, August 30. Here are three cuts that might come back to haunt them.

All 32 NFL teams have revealed their preliminary rosters for the first week by the deadline Tuesday, August 30th. For the deadline, the teams had to reduce their rosters to 53 players, but then had the opportunity to sign free agents on Wednesday, August 31.

The Kansas City Chiefs managed to reduce their roster to 53 players, but they had to give up some talent. They were able to re-add names like Daurice Fountain, Danny Shelton and Zayne Anderson to their coaching squad on Wednesday.

As for the players that The Chiefs couldn’t re-sign, these three might come back to hunt them down.

On Wednesday, the waivers were officially made, and teams found out if they were able to secure those who made the claim. None of Kansas City’s claims were made, but they lost one player on the defensive side of the ball.

Defensive Intervention The Atlanta Falcons called for Matt Dickerson to cancel concessions. He meets again with Dean Pace, who was his defensive coordinator for his first two seasons in the league. Pace is the current defensive coordinator at Atlanta, with Arthur Smith, a former offensive coordinator for Tennessee State, as the current head coach.

Dickerson signed with The Chiefs on August 8. He played in Kansas City’s pre-season debut against the Chicago Bears, where he scored three singles tackles. Dickerson also played in the second pre-season competition against the Washington Captains, where he scored a single assisting pass.

Although it may be a late addition, it is never a good idea for one team to watch one of their released players demanded by another team and thrive. Will it happen with Dickerson? We should find out as soon as the season progresses.
