A year ago, the New Orleans Saints started strong. Despite the strong finish, the team will miss the playoffs. There may be some surprises this year.

The team’s last two seasons of Big Easy have been more than memorable. After an impressive run with the franchise, quarterback Drew Brees retired from football after the following 2020 campaign. Last season, the Saints finished 9-8 and were eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Head coach Sean Payton, who also opted to walk away from the game after 16 seasons (and a Super Bowl title in 2009), also exited as the side’s captain.

New defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, who had 36 appearances as a side leader for the Raiders, has been promoted. That was not good as the team finished with a score of 8-28 under his supervision. But this is a much different team and organization. So what can we expect from the club from Crescent City in 2022?

3. WR Jarvis Landry has a total of over 100 receptions

He’s turned bluff twice before during his earlier days in the NFL, while they were with the Dolphins. The wide-produced receiver Jarvis Landry is a five-time professional who started his career as a second-round draft pick by Miami in 2014. He finished his career in South Florida with 400 receivers (22 touchdowns) before being tackled with the Cleveland Browns in 18.

His numbers weren’t quite as impressive as they were during his days with flippers. In four seasons with Brown, there were 288 grabs, 15 for results. Some of that decline had to do with a 2021 campaign in which he cut injuries and in which Landry ended his career lows in games played (12), goals (87), catches (52), yards (570), and touchdowns (2).

The eight-year veteran was fired by the Browns this off season. The former LSU producer and Louisiana descent prepares for a bouncy year. He will lead the team in moments and make life easier Former All-Pro . Michael Thomas and rookie Chris Olaf.
