Cowboys Eagles target All Pro as a replacement for Tyrone Smith

With Tyron Smith out long-term, the Dallas Cowboys are looking outside the organization for help with the position. Jason Peters, who was previously on the Eagles, could be a solution.

He’s 40, but Peters can still play on a productive level and in a major position. The left tackle is not an easy place to play on the offensive line. Often, players find themselves on an island. If they get it wrong, the quarterback’s health (and thus their position on the roster) may be at risk.

Peters has succeeded in this position for years. And while he can’t move like he used to with the Philadelphia Eagles, Peters remains capable enough to fill in Smith if the Cowboys choose to hire him.

for every Focus on professional footballPeters received a score of 77.5 last year at the age of 39 in Chicago. If he plays near that level in 2021, Dallas will sign him immediately.

Cowboy rumors: Jason Peters disbanded a potential offensive line

Dallas can still trust their offensive line without Smith – but the 31-year-old is one of the better players in his position for a reason. He is expected to be out until at least December, and possibly longer.

Peters is not him Everyone is professional It was once in Philadelphia. From 2007 to 16, he made nine Pro Bowls in a row (excluding 2012, when he was out the entire season) with the Bills and Eagles, and was the first Pro twice in 2011 and 2013.

Peters, future Hall of Famer, has stayed fit this season with the intent of playing for a rival team in need of offensive line help. Dallas definitely qualifies as such.

With Smith now in injured reserve, Dallas must protect Dak Prescott at all costs. This is where Peters comes in, if they choose a pony at the right price.
