Mark Sherry Housewife Drama “Jenny’s Weapon” set in Fox

Mark Sherry, creator of “Desperate Housewives” and “Devious Maids,” is developing a new female drama at Fox.

The one-hour series, “Jenny Is a Weapon,” follows the story of a sheltered Maryland housewife who discovers, the moment her marriage falls apart, that she has special psychic powers and is recruited by a secret government agency where she must It reconciled with her broken family and saved the world, according to her official record.

The drama has received a script commitment from Fox Entertainment and is being considered for a potential direct-to-series order on the announcer under a direct deal with Cherry.

If selected, choosing to produce “Jenny Is a Weapon” in-house, rather than working with an outside studio on the show, is part of Fox’s new ongoing strategy to have as much content streamed as possible now that it is an independent network.
