NBA superstars LeBron James and Kevin Durant were in awe of Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams’ performance against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The first Thursday night football game of the 2022 season included the AFC West game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. The last time these teams got together, they went overtime, and Travis Kelsey Chiefs had them cornered for a long time. There will always be a player who stands out in what are usually exciting games between Chiefs and Chargers.
In this game, one standout player was Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams, who was the team’s top player with Keenan Allen disqualified due to a hamstring injury. One of the many catches that WIlliams really should have been a contender to capture this year was the subtle third-quarter touchdown reception that increased the Chargers’ lead to 17-7.
Williams caught the attention of many fans who were watching Thursday night football. He also received some great praise from NBA stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

That 10-point lead disappeared after Williams’ relegation. The Chiefs cut the difference to 17-14 with an incredible 41-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to Justin Watson in the third quarter. Matt Amendola officially tied the game after scoring a 19-yard field goal. Then, the Chiefs took a 24-17 lead after rising linebacker Jaylen Watson intercepted Justin Herbert and returned him 99 yards for the green light.
Despite the match result, Williams created some new fans after his second week performance.
