Florida State made college football history by defeating Louisville on Friday

The Florida Seminoles will outsmart anyone, anywhere, any day of the week.

With Florida State’s Seminole improving to 3-0 this season, Mike Norville’s team did something never before in college football history.

No, it wasn’t like an exciting UNC win over the App State a few weeks ago, but Noles showed us that they can beat anyone, anywhere, any day of the week. They won their Week 0 match against Duquesne at home on Saturday. Two weeks ago, the Seminoles spoiled Brian Kelly’s debut at LSU on Sunday night at the Superdome. Now, they defeated Louisville on Friday.

Thus, the Noles became the first team in college football history to start the year 3-0 by winning a different day of the week each time.

Florida State Seminoles 3-0 with wins on different days of the week

Don’t look now, but Norville’s program is headed in the right direction. A home win over Duquesne was expected, but not necessarily a road date in New Orleans. In regards to the game played in Louisville on Friday night, Scott Satterfield’s team is close to 0-3, if not for an upcoming UCF win last week in Orlando. For now, Florida is back in playing ball as it should.

All things being equal, Florida should be the top ACC program, year after year. The Seminoles have a rich football history and many resources at their disposal in a talent-rich state like Florida. However, one bad hiring after another in the post-Gimbo Fisher era has damaged the program greatly. Norville was a huge comer from Memphis, but his work was cut short for him.

As long as Noles keeps winning, everything should be fine in Tallahassee. Of course, former Florida State star Deion Sanders does unusual things at HBCU Jackson State. It would be a shame Georgia Tech would fire Geoff Collins and Ramblin’ Wreck to lead the Atlanta Falcons legend Coach Prime in 2023. Once again, winning is a treat of all kinds and FSU can get used to this.

It would be amazing if the Seminoles played a game on Monday through Thursday this year.
