Oklahoma fans are gassed after the helpless finally look back

Fans of the Oklahoma Sooners were elated after watching them defeat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 49-14 on September 17.

The Oklahoma Sooners climbed to number six on the AP’s Top 25 entry into Week Three. And they climbed one place after beating Kent State last week, and a surprising Texas A&M loss to the Appalachian State. The Sooners traveled to the road for the first time this season, facing the Nebraska Cornhuskers who fired coach Scott Frost earlier in the week.

New coach for Nebraska? No problem for Oklahoma, as they qualified a 49-14 win over Nebraska and interim coach Mickey Joseph to be a perfect 3-0 this season. The match was initially competitive, reaching a 7-7 tie. However, the Sooners broke up with them soon after and they had a blast.

Oklahoma as a team captured a total of 530 yards, 312 of which came from a running game. Eric Gray had a silly day, picking up 113 yards and landing two on 11 buggies. Yes, Gray ran an average of 10.3 yards per carry. The first virtual descent every time he gets the ball.

Gabriel completed 16 of 27 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

New Oklahoma quarterback Yaren Kanak led the team with ten joint tackles (three singles).

The Sooners will be looking to go 4-0 by defeating the Kansas State Wildcats.
