The Yankees knew it would take months before Harrison Bader could make it onto the field when they snagged him in exchange for Jordan Montgomery at the MLB deadline. It’s finally time for GM Brian Cashman to see what the deal can accomplish on the pitch when Badr makes his much-anticipated debut next week.
Manager Aaron Boone has informed reporters that the former Cardinals player will be activated ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Buccaneers. It’s safe to say this move couldn’t come soon enough for Yankees fans.
MVP nominee, Aaron Judge, was forced to take an off-field tax position for extended periods of the season. It’s in New York’s best interest to minimize the wear and tear on his legs before what the franchise hopes will be long after the season is over.
Finally, the Yankees are ready for Harrison Bader’s debut
Veteran Aaron Hicks was supposed to take on this important position, but his season has been very frustrating. Cashman needs Bader to make some standout moments in the reels so making the decision to get him seems like a smart one.
