Buffalo Bills hacker Von Miller disagreed with Kenny Beckett confirming that the Steelers were underdogs this week on the road.
It only took one game to get Beckett under the opponent’s skin.
The Steelers are 14 underdogs for the first time in decades when they travel to Buffalo to face Super Bowl favorites. While Vegas might view it differently, Beckett doesn’t think Pittsburgh is a true underdog.
“Everyone thinks we are vulnerable. We don’t,” Beckett said. “We’re going to go in there with some confidence. We know how great we can be when we detail and execute to a high standard. This is something we need to take care of during the week or else we won’t have a chance. It’s the details and the little things, you guys run in the right depth, it has to be.” I’m on time, I give them a great ball and they’ll play. The streak has been doing a great job all year, so I have a lot of confidence in these guys. Everyone makes 1/11 and we’ll be fine.”
Beals, Von Miller Comment Using Steelers Kenny Beckett as Motivation
Miller didn’t take this comment kindly, as it might sound innocent on paper. Basically, all Beckett said was that he would do his best and that he believed in his team. Nothing wrong with that, right? right?
wrong – wrong – wronged
Miller invited Beckett to consider spreading, and “fake madness” at Beals. “No one thinks you’re an underdog,” Miller said on a live broadcast.
As much as the future Hall of Famer wants to run it, Pittsburgh is actually a huge underdog. Whether Miller chooses to look at the spread or not, the Steelers are on the road after a quarterback change and a heavy home loss to the Jets. They’re 1-3 on the season, and their star has widely described 2022 as the year of rebuilding.
Does Miller really need more evidence?
