Miami soccer message boards want Mario Cristobal to resign

Some Miami football fans have seen enough of Mario Cristóbal and want him to quit.

We’re only in six games in Mario Cristobal era soccer in Miami and some fans want the former Hurricanes offensive lineman to quit?!

It wasn’t easy for Cristóbal to remake The U The U again. While his predecessor, Manny Diaz, had his moments, it’s not as if Cristóbal inherited a program that shoots all cylinders, too. Then again, he knew what he was getting into. His school needed help, so he answered the call of fellow Kahn and Miami Games Director Dan Radjakovic. Too bad Miami is not good.

And here we are, Miami football fans want Cristobal to quit after just six games in his coaching.

Miami football fans are not happy with Mario Cristobal, they want him to quit

There are unreasonable expectations, and then there is this. On what planet might Cristobal resign from leading his university program midway through his first season on the job? Even if getting around U is harder than expected, there are two reasons why he shouldn’t step down under any circumstances: he’s getting paid big and the league is investing in football!

Cristobal might get paid well at Coral Gables, but that’s kind of to be expected for a head coach of his caliber. He won many games in his previous position at Oregon. Regardless of whether Cristobal is overpaid or not, having the university truly invest in its football team is a huge and huge advantage he has that most of his predecessors did not. Miami in Florida…

With Florida, Florida State, Miami and now the UCF not currently shooting all cylinders, eventually someone will take advantage of the rich talent status and return to glory. Although Gus Malzahn has had the most success out of any of these head coaches, keep in mind that the UCF jumps to the Power Five once the riders join the Big 12. Soon, Cristobal will be on top.

Asking Cristobal to resign from his position in Miami is like asking Pat McAfee to ditch his black tank top as an essential part of his everyday wardrobe; This does not happen, my brother!
