Straight Tennessee Directive Embarks LSU in SEC Conflict: CFB Media Interact

The Tennessee State demolition of LSU in Death Valley has captured the full attention of college football fans everywhere.

Don’t look now, but the Tennessee Volunteers made a college football team about halfway through the regular season.

No. 8 Tennessee Went to Death Valley and handed the No. 25 LSU Brutal 40-13 home loss. The volumes improved to 5-0 over the course of the year, with the perfect record set on the third Saturday in October next week. Although No. 1 in Alabama loomed large, the volumes showed enough people who might stand a chance in a cross-sectional rivalry game. Winning in Knoxville will speak volumes.

If Tennessee looks like it’s up against LSU when you beat Alabama, good luck with that!

Tennessee has a huge statement win over LSU before the third Saturday in October

This may only be Josh Hubble’s second season at the top of Rocky Top, but his crime appears to be among the most explosive in the SEC, arguably the entire country.

With quarterback Hendon Hooker playing like a serious Heisman Trophy contender, the Vols are showing that they can put points with their best of the season.

Assuming the defense continues to improve, it could just be that the Vols headed to Atlanta over the likes of Georgia and Kentucky outside of the SEC East this year.

Even if the volunteers aren’t at Alabama level yet, they will likely still be able to get to Atlanta if they complete the “Cats and Dogs” sweep. Having a tiebreak head-to-head over other divisional competitors would be huge for Rocky Top. However, we have to remember that this is Brian Kelly’s first season in Baton Rouge. LSU isn’t Alabama or Georgia or even Kentucky yet.

The best thing that Vols members can do is to stay true to themselves and take one big win after another.
