Wild stats from Game 1 show how dodgers’ offense stack up

The San Diego Padres had a good fight during the first game against the Dodgers, but the Los Angeles Down couldn’t have slowed down.

The Padres staff did a great job locking down some of the biggest Dodgers bats in Game 1. But according to Noah Camras of Dodgers Nation, Los Angeles is a lot more crowded than people might realize.

Kamras chirp“Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Justin Turner all got a 0-10 aggregate. The Dodgers won 5-3. That should make Padres terrified.”

The Dodgers have been one of the best teams in the league for years

It was almost expected, before the season started, that Los Angeles would be in the playoffs again this season. They’ve played playoffs every season since 2013 and made the world championship three times in that span.

They are a strong team. With one of the biggest payrolls, it’s no surprise that they’ve managed to build themselves up to this point. During the regular season, of all the MLB teams, they had the fourth-best batting average (.257), best on-base percentage (.333), second-best slowdown (.442) and best OPS (.775).

Their rotation is equally good. They had a best ERA (2.80), opponent batting average (.209) and WHIP (1.05). Losing the Padres by just two rounds in Game 1 is a real achievement, and it proves they have enough potential to compete.

Padres have improved significantly over the years. Before now, they haven’t been to the playoffs since 2006 (except for the very short 2020 season). They haven’t had a win percentage higher than 0.500 since 2010 (except for 2020 as well). They will have to fight hard to advance to the NLCS, but they have the ability to outrun the Dodgers.

However, they are unlikely to do so because Los Angeles has an excellent amount of talent and development on their roster.
