The best memes and tweets like bears and leaders lay an egg on TNF

For the second week in a row, the NFL Twitter had a reason to launch a Thursday night football game where the Bears and captains struggled.

Amazon paid a lot of money to broadcast Thursday Night Football. They’re not getting their money’s worth yet this season. Nor a fan of the NFL.

Thursday’s most recent nightmare involved the Bears and Leaders in a match that many would have told you would be below par on paper.

It was uglier on the field, and we’re not just talking about Chicago’s choice of headgear.

NFL Twitter has roasted the Bears and Leaders

Twitter bemoans the entire experience of watching the only professional football available to them. Amazon is fortunate that the entire audience didn’t move to FS1 just to watch the Barnburner between West Virginia and Baylor.

The match was just a miserable spectacle, both for the fans of the two participating teams and the neutrals.

Neither team scored a touchdown in the first half. The score was 7-6 thanks to a field goal by Washington at the start of the fourth quarter. The leaders finally found the final zone seven minutes before the end.

It didn’t look good for either side as Carson Wentz completed only half of his passes and Justin Fields ran for his life while taking four sacks and throwing an interception. The Bears blew two trips to the red zone with a pick that bounced off a helmet, a fourth stop, and an inch off the goal line.

Was it better than a 12-9 nap between the ponies and the broncos last week? At least, this one featured in two touchdowns and championship attempts in the fields but it was close.

Amazon should hold its breath and hope the Saints and Cardinals offer some excitement when they take over the Thursday night stage next week.
