A trip to the ALCS is on the line as the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees tie in the Bronx Monday night in Game 5 of the ALDS.

With each team winning a game inside the other’s home court, ALDS’ best-of-five series of matches between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees had plenty of drama. What will happen at Yankee Stadium on Monday night (First Stadium is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast on TBS)?

3 bold predictions for the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees in ALDS Game 5?

3. Nestor Curtis will make an impact

Sure, Jameson Taeyeon will get the start for the Yankees, but Curtis will be available for limited assignments in what will likely be a hands-on deck mentality for manager Aaron Boone to avoid disqualification.

After throwing 5.0 innings against The Guardians on Friday, Cortes won’t have much to give to the Yankees in Game 5, but he may have enough to be a squad maker.

While the Guardians may have gotten to Cortes in his prime on Friday (six hits, including home run, drawing three), seeing the change in speed he could bring in the game at a pivotal moment could upend this scenario. While Cortes has never been used in relief this season, Boone will find the time to bring in the left hand, driving the Yankee Stadium crowd even more crazy.

Nestor would already be evil against Cleveland, and it would make a difference to the outcome of the game.
