The Celtics have experienced significant off-season training drama, but the roster has plenty of reason to get Boston fans excited in the regular season.

The supporting cast is also full of interesting options. That’s what makes Boston so exciting at the start of the regular season. One of the series’ most exciting players, though, won’t make an impact right away.
3. The Lord’s Time Returns
Robert Williams’ ability to defend the edge and run the perimeter does wonders for the Celtics’ defensive scheme. Unfortunately, Will be there with his teammates on opening night.
A knee injury will keep him out of action for several months, but that could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Boston. This team doesn’t need to focus on maximizing their win total in the regular season. They need to spend their energy to make sure that they enter the post-season at 100%.
When Williams returns, he should give the Celtics’ roster a nice boost of energy during the regular season’s long campaign slumps. It will be particularly interesting to see how untried interim coach Joe Mazzola brings his unique mega man back into the rotation.
