The Yankees squad changes Game 2 the smell of despair

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone made some changes to Game 2’s batting standings from the ALCS after dropping Game 1 to the Houston Astros.

The New York Yankees dropped the first game in the MLS series, losing 4-2 to the Houston Astros, a hated opponent who turned his way out of the World Series in years past. The squad that manager Aaron Boone put together in the opening match certainly didn’t help matters.

Matt Carpenter started his first game since August, knocked out four times, and stranded four base riders as the designated hitter. Josh Donaldson hit three times and four riders were stranded on the batting base of hole number 5. The team as a whole hit 17 hits. Not ideal for a Yankees still trying to make it to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2009.

A day later, manager Aaron Boone made several changes to Game 2’s lineup on Thursday night.

Aaron Boone Makes Several Changes To The Yankees’ Lineup In ALCS 2

Carpenter is not in the starting lineup, as he was relegated to the bench. Giancarlo Stanton, who started on left field, is now back to be the team’s designated hitter. But the changes did not end there.

Oswaldo Cabrera, who has played several positions since receiving his call-up this season, will turn left after not being included in the Game 1 squad.

Shortstop’s Isiah Kiner-Falefa is back on the bench as well, with New York second seed substitute Oswald Peraza starting.

There are changes in the order of the multiplication. Basketball player Harrison Bader, who has scored four home runs this post-season, is the Yankees’ new hitter, with second baseman Gleber Torres slipping to fifth.

As for Donaldson, he is still in the starting lineup, but has fallen from fifth to sixth place.

After dropping Game 1, taking Game 2 will be critical to the Yankees. If not, they head back to New York with a 0-2 deficit. Boone needed to make changes to the second game’s lineup. Let’s see if it is enough to lead the team to victory.
