Philadelphia Phillies fans took to Broad Street after the team won the Premier League flag to secure a place in the world championships.
For the first time since 2009, the Philadelphia Phillies have joined the World Series.
The Phillies led 3-1 in the National League Championship over San Diego Padres, who entered Game Five. home run. Ranger Suarez entered the top of the ninth inning at David Robertson’s palm to score a save and secure the NL flag for Philadelphia.

Philadelphia got off to a strong start to Game Five, crushing Rhys Hoskins in two games into left center field in the third inning to give them a 2-0 lead.
However, Padres managed to score three runs without an answer. At the top of the fourth inning, player Juan Soto hit home to midfield. Then in the seventh inning, Josh Bell scored an RBI double and Jose Azucar scored on a wild pitch thrown by Seranthony Dominguez.
But then a single from JT Realmuto set Homer Harper’s clutch two-run.
The Phillies are the National League champions, now waiting to see who they face between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees. The first match of the World Championships is scheduled for Friday, October 28.
