NFL fans think Tom Brady should retire: Best memes and tweets

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and quarterback Tom Brady lost to the Carolina Panthers who eliminated Christian McCaffrey.

Last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who played Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubesky in the middle. The season didn’t go off the way many expected not only for the Buccaneers, but also quarterback Tom Brady. They had a chance to get a match right, as they faced the Carolina Panthers in Week 8 who had just replaced superstar Christian McCaffrey back for the San Francisco 49ers.

Instead, the Buccaneers were embarrassed by the Panthers, losing 21-3. The game featured everything, like Mike Evans dropping a wide open touchdown pass, and Brady throwing some really bad passes.

During and after the game, Twitter users asked aloud if it was time for Brady to finally retire.

The match was goalless for most of the first half, which would not have happened had Evans picked up a potential touchdown pass from Brady. But, that all changed when Panthers quarterback PJ Walker hit over a wide receiver DJ Moore for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Then, late in the third, the Panthers gave themselves a two-point lead at 19 yards run by Chuba Hubbard.

From there, the game is basically over.

Brady completed 32 of 49 pass attempts for 290 yards. In the attack, the pirates were brutal 2 for 12 in their third diversion attempts.

After the team was removed from the playoffs by the Los Angeles Rams, Brady announced his retirement. About a month later, he announced that he would be returning to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season.

Seven games in, the Buccaneers seem apart from the Super Bowl contenders. While there is time for things to turn, things are starting to look bleak for the former powers-that-be in the previous two seasons.
