Leaders win puts $125,000 in Taylor Hynek’s pocket

Quarterback Taylor Hynek received a huge bonus from the Washington captains after their seventh-week win over the Green Bay Packers.

In the strong NFC East, the Washington leaders sat steadily in last place with a 2-4 record entered Week 7. They had just ended their four-game losing streak with a victory over the Chicago Bears last week, but then figured they would be. Without quarterback Carson Wentz for the foreseeable future due to a broken finger. This meant it was time for Taylor Heinick to step up in his absence.

Did Heinicke rise to the occasion, helping lead Washington to a 23-21 win over the Green Bay Packers. Heinicke threw for 201 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while completing 20 of 33 pass attempts.

For this show, Heinicke received a huge bonus. As ESPN’s Field Yates notes, Heinicke received an incentive of $125,000 to play at least 60 percent of Washington’s shots and win.

What is better than winning? How about a $125,000 bonus check?

Heniki Jun told ESPN’s Kim after the match That he would buy himself a pair of Jordans, which he did when he won a bounty after each win. Usually the Jordanian player he buys has the same color scheme as the team that defeated him.

Tomorrow I’ll probably buy myself green and yellow Js,” Heinicke said, via Keim.

After a 14-3 to Green Bay, Heinicke helped Washington take the lead in a nine-yard touchdown pass to back Antonio Gibson in the second quarter, and a 37-yard pass to wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the third. From there, kicker Joey Sly scored two field goals to take them to a total of 23 points.

The Packers scored a late touchdown to net them in two, but with little time left and no timeout at their disposal, their final attempt to take the win failed.

Now, the leaders will head to Indianapolis in Week 8 to face the Colts. Heinicke has shown that leaders may not need to worry about a quarterback’s position
