Chase Hopper is the fighter to watch

At UFC Vegas 63, Chase Hooper is looking to improve his record to 12-2-1 and is looking to win his second fight in a row.

On Saturday, UFC Vegas 63 will take place live from UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will headline a featherweight match between Calvin Cuttar and Arnold Allen. We’re also set to see Tim Means challenge Max Griffin to a welterweight bout and more. However, on the prelims show, we’ll see Chase Hooper face Steve Garcia in a featherweight match.

This might be one of the most underrated fights of the preliminary show as it features one of the great, young and rising talents of the UFC, Chase Hopper. While neither man is ranked, the win, improving Hooper’s record to 12-2-1 could put him on the UFC radar even more. Hopper last fought in May of 2022 as TKO’d Felipe Colaris. This fight earned Hopper an Evening Performance Award for the show.

Much of Hopper’s skills stem from his Brazilian background in jiu-jitsu. However, he is not only an excellent wrestler, he can also win from his great game, just as much. Of the 11 UFC wins already, five have come from surrender, four by knockout, and two have won by unanimous decision.

Hopper looks to extend his winning streak to two, while winning with Garcia

Entering this fight, Hopper looks to win his second fight in a row as he faces Garcia. In his last five fights, Hopper has won three and lost two. His only two losses have come from decisions because he was not eliminated or introduced in the UFC.

Although he is currently unranked, only 23-year-old Hopper is on the UFC’s radar. He is a young and up-and-coming fighter who can establish himself in the UFC as he continues to win. While this continues to happen, Hooper will likely find himself in the UFC rating system sooner rather than later.

UFC Vegas 63 takes place on Saturday, October 29, live from UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Follow with FanSided MMA for all the live updates and highlights.
