Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell more on Thursday night football this week against the Baltimore Ravens. He lost 27-22, Tampa Bay lost 3-5.
Tom Brady initially decided to retire this season, but later changed his mind and opted to come back for at least another year. Things… didn’t go according to plan. You have to assume he’s starting to regret the uneasy decision.
Brady’s first year in Tampa was excellent. He and the team managed to reach the Super Bowl and win it all. In the second year they were unable to return, losing in the division round. Now, it looks like even beyond the season it could be hard to get to.
Bucs are helped in part by being in the NFC South, such a nasty division that either the Panthers or the Falcons are about to lead with eight weeks in the books.

Tampa Bay has died in the last yards per carry this season. They are also one of three teams in the league without a single dash for more than 20 yards. Leonard Fournette was practical, but nothing really powerful behind it. Adding a player to create a double-back threat might take some pressure off Brady and open up his playing opportunities.
There are a number of runners who can be available. Melvin Gordon is hardly ever used in Denver, and the Broncos prefer using their newly acquired Latavius Murray for a reason.
Or maybe the Bucs prefer Creme Hunt, which Al Brown will likely trade. Maybe Cam Akers? There are options in the back domain, and the Bucs need some help in that regard.
